Materials
The GLD Shop is always committed to providing you with the highest quality of jewelry for each of the material options that we offer. These three different materials would include:
- Gold Plated is for our customers who are looking for an affordable but very high-quality piece of jewelry coated in 14k-24k real gold. Our plating process consists of our unique proprietary method allowing for long-lasting, non-fading wear. These pieces will always feature hand-set AAAA+ CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones when they're iced out. Base material is hypo-allergenic stainless steel.
- Vermeil would be the next material option that is an excellent choice for our customers who want to own a more valuable piece of jewelry as it tends to be slightly heavier than our gold-plated option. This material is recommended for any of our customers who have sensitive skin when being exposed to metals. Crafted using only precious metals it starts with a .925 Sterling Silver base metal and is plated with 3 microns of 18k gold, and set with AAAA+ CZ stones or Moissanite
- Solid Gold is available for our customers who would like to own the most valuable piece of jewelry. We offer pure Solid Gold available in 10-14k. Our Solid Gold pieces come with Si or VS diamonds by default, but we do offer all diamonds from Si2-VVS1 that can be custom-made upon request. The product specification will explain which diamond option comes standard with the specific item. Please contact our support team directly for customized diamond options.
Each of our different material options will resemble one another. They cannot be told apart from other than the .925 stamp on our Vermeil pieces and the karat type of gold stamped on our Solid Gold pieces that will display 10-14k. We strive for each and every one of our customers to find that look they're going for when purchasing a GLD piece of jewelry no matter which material option is chosen or how much is spent.
We thoroughly test all of our products for quality and durability during and after production. We meet all regulations set by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Jewelry Vigilance Committee.
